Abstract
Project Title: Automation of Civil Courts
Objective:     Design a system for automating the judicial services in India.
Using this system, plaintiff can easily give complaints to the concerned authority and they can view status of their cases etc. This system will reduce the time and risk to the users compare with manual system. The project performs intended function with required precision. The registered user’s files can be stored in centralized database which can be maintained by the system. Authentication is provided for this application only registered users can access.

Functional Requirements:

  • Register Plaintiff, defendant, plaintiff lawyer and Judge.
  • File cases from plaintiffs.
  • Schedule hearings (initial and continuing).
  • Send hearings through mails to corresponding case
  • Give instructions to representing advocates. All formal instructions must be logged in the system. These instructions may be multi-lingual.
  • Send proceedings case wise after each hearing
  • View date wise case Reports
  • View Judgment file and send it to corresponding case personals through mails.
  • Check evidence and case made by opposing party.
  • File own evidence, witnesses etc.
  • View hearings and Proceedings sent through mail.
  • Validate case proceedings and notes as they proceed.
  • Receive proceedings and validate developments
  • Receive formal judgment through mails.
  • Viewing rights to see development of cases and instructions received.
  • View hearings and Proceedings sent through mail.
·         Send hearings , proceedings , instructions and judgment to Admin through mails.
·         View Proceedings.

Non Functional Requirements:
  • Secure access of confidential data (user’s details). SSL can be used.
  •  24 X 7 availability
  • Better component design to get better performance at peak time
  • Flexible service based architecture will be highly desirable for future extension
